Here is a "what to write", and "what not to write."
A Gentleman writes this when he is concerned about a friend's health.
"I have heard the news about your diagnosis. There is no reason that this disease chooses to strike one person rather than another.
You are, however, a brave, strong-willed fellow, and you have an army of friends to stick with you through the coming days.
Please know how honored I am to be one of that army.
You are in my thoughts.
Sincerely,
RJ"
A Gentleman does not write:
"I hope you will finally begin taking care of yourself - I don't want to lose you.
RJ"
